County DA’s office accepts $35K gift
Auburn Journal, Sunday Nov. 18, 2007

The Placer County District Attorney’s Office received grant funding in the amount of $35,000 from the Placer County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee.

The money will be used to purchase new technology equipment including an Apple Mac Pro computer, five disk duplicators, television monitors, and a heavy duty shredder.  Any funds not expended for these items will be used to defray the cost of the prosecution of crimes in Placer County.

“On behalf of the Placer County District Attorney’s Office I wish to express our gratitude for this contribution,” Brad Fenocchio, Placer county District Attorney said in a press release. “The assistance of local organizations such as the Placer County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee provides important assistance to the Placer county District Attorney’s Office.  Contributions like this allow us to provide more services to the people of Placer County without adding to the burden on local taxpayers.”

Last year the Placer County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee provided grant funding in the amount of $67,315.  That funding was used to defray taxpayers costs incurred in the prosecution of Placer County crimes.
