The judge who released a lifelong habitual criminal on a $10,000 bond for a robbery charge should have to visit the wounded deputy in the hospital to see what her decision helped bring about. She should then apologize to the officer and his family. It won't happen, but it should.

Sacramento Deputy Adam Gibson and K9 Riley sacrificed their lives last night while trying to apprehend a violent criminal who was on parole.
Gibson was a husband and a father to a nine-month-old baby. He was a Marine who served two tours in Afghanistan. He served the sheriff’s office for six years and was 31-years-old.

This is beyond sad. A man who served his country only to be murdered in his own country and a little one who will have to grow up without his dad. This makes me so angry.

Last night we lost a local Sacramento Deputy and K9. Around 10pm, a traffic stop was attempted on a parolee which turned into a pursuit. The parolee crashed the vehicle near Cal Expo, and refused commands to exit.
A K9 was deployed. The K9 was shot and killed. A gun battle ensued, killing a Deputy and wounding another. The suspect was also killed. The Deputy who was wounded is expected to survive.
